… unofficially, for now! Following on from our recent infrastructure investment, we’ve spent weeks making sure that we offer the VERY best stability and performance to our customers. That is why for the past 48 hours we have stress tested and benchmarked our (standard) Magento demo store against our competitors and we are proud to say that we haven’t found anyone faster, we are the fastest! Using a spare server of ours, with a 100MB upstream and downstream directly connected to a data-centre in the middle of the UK. We ran Apache Bench for with 20 concurrent users (that’s a whopping 72,000 hits per hour) for 3 separate runs of 100 total transactions. We did the tests at 3 times of day 9AM (GMT), 2PM and 11PM and picked the best result for those we tested. The homepage was the page under siege.
