This article assumes you have already integrated WordPress and Magento and are using v1.2.1 or higher.

Following a feature request from a client, we have slightly improved our WordPress and Magento integration to be able to capture Magento’s current logged in user and allow them to post comments on blog/news posts.
This new feature is in version 1.2.1 of the Magento WordPress extension. So for those of you already running it, you can upgrade by following the installation steps again and downloading the newer versions of the files.

Hi Guys, great update here, I regularly integrate WordPress blogs onto my Magento sites I think the only thing that needs working on is the WordPress themes could be supported more in Magento. Great post though.

Hi Tom,
The whole point of integrating the two apps is to abandon the theming from WordPress and inherits Magento’s more powerful layout control.
