Please follow these sets to setup your mailbox in Mac OS X:
1) From your Dock, open up Mail.
In the File menu, select “New Account” – you will be prompted to enter your name, email address and password. These have been provided in your welcome email.
Click “continue”.
2) On the next page you will be asked to enter your INCOMING mail settings. These are noticed in your welcome email
For Example:
Account Type: IMAP / POP3 (IMAP is recommended as it stores the messages on the sever, you so can access them from any location)
Description: “Sonassi Media Services”
Incoming Mail Server: imap.example.com / pop3.example.com (Please ensure this matches the option selected from the dropdown)
Username: info@example.com (Your username is your email address)
Password: ********
Click continue.
3) The next page details your OUTGOING mail settings.Description: “Fred’s Email”
Incoming Mail Server: smtp.example.com (Please ensure this matches the option selected from the dropdown)
Check the box “Use Authentication”
Username: info@example.com (Your username is your email address)
Password: ********
Click continue.
You are all done! You can begin to use your email in Mail.app on Mac OS X
